Bad Sisters Review – How far would you go for family?

Bad Sisters is a highly entertaining dramedy about the Garvey sisters and their unbreakable bond. These five sisters would do anything for each other, and I do mean anything. After years of watching their sister, Grace, live with emotionally abusive husband, John Paul, the sisters decide killing him may just be necessary to get their sister back. But can they do it? Did they do it? One thing is for sure…John Paul is dead. So what really happened?

Did they do it?

Bad Sisters starts with John Paul’s death in present day and flashes back to six months ago when his wife’s sisters were discussing killing him. John Paul (Claes Bang) is a despicable person and it is not hard to see why they want him dead. Tragedy has kept these sisters very close and they are very protective of each other. Each sister also has their own personal reason to hate John Paul. This show really keeps you guessing whether or not the sisters killed him and if so how they did it and if they will get away with it.

Great acting, unique personalities

The acting in Bad Sisters is great. I haven’t hated anyone as much as John Paul in a long time. Sharon Horgan plays Eva, the eldest sister and she is also a writer on the show. Bibi is played by Sarah Greene and she’s the cool, determined sister. Ursula (Eva Birthistle) plays the high-strung mom. Grace (Anne-Marie Duff) is John Paul’s delicate, mistreated wife. And Eve Henson plays Becky, the youngest sister. She is also the daughter of U2’s lead singer, Bono. Each of their unique personalities make the story more full and fun to watch.

Ireland is the perfect setting

The show is set in Dublin, Ireland so the scenery is beautiful. It was refreshing to watch a show that wasn’t in the United States. The music, the culture, the accents, and new faces were all a welcome change.

Looking forward to season 2

It looks like season 2 is in the works which is exciting because I loved this one! Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments below.
